Sustainability at BLS

Diverse measures for sustainable mobility

At BLS, sustainability means a balanced interplay of social, ecological and economic aspects. These are taken into account in all decisions, with the aim being to conserve resources in the long term and meet the needs of current and future generations.

Based on its sustainability strategy, BLS is implementing a wide range of measures for sustainable mobility.

Sustainability governance

Within BLS, strategic sustainability officers coordinate the activities of all business units. Together with the Executive Board and the Board of Directors, they are responsible for monitoring progress and setting targets in the area of sustainability. Persons responsible for sustainability have also been defined in all business divisions.
Through this holistic governance structure, BLS ensures that sustainability is not just seen as an isolated initiative, but is a central component of the company's overall development and direction.

Sustainability Report 2023

Our times are characterised by increasingly complex challenges. Resources are becoming scarce, and new, sustainable solutions need to be found.
