Cross-country skiing on the idyllic Hasler upland moor

A paradise for cross-country skiers at nearly 2,000 metres above sea level

Designed for both classic and skating techniques, the pistes on the Hasler upland moor are groomed daily and offer much more than just cross-country skiing – namely exciting and changing landscapes, as well as impressive panoramic views.

When the snow in the wide valley bottom slowly begins to melt in spring, this certainly doesn’t spell the end of the cross-country skiing season in Lenk: on Mt. Betelberg, the Haslerberg high-altitude piste guarantees snow and attracts cross-country enthusiasts well into April. Harmoniously integrated into the countryside, the piste leads through bizarre and impressive scenery and past the fascinating Gryden, a primeval crater-like landscape formed over millennia.

Hasler high-altitude pistes

The cross-country piste predominantly features gentle ascents and descents. Those who prefer a slightly bigger challenge can do an extended loop with a longer and steeper ascent. The circular route is challenging – especially as the air already becomes thin at 1,800 metres above sea level.

The pistes open daily at 10.00 hours.
