The motor vessel«Stadt Bern»(«City of Berne»), which was built in 1956 and decommissioned in 2004, is to become a floating exhibition, where you can experience a ship as you have never done before.
The internationally known Thun artist, Heinrich Gartentor, will be turning the ship as a whole into a work of art.
The «Stadt Bern» is moored exactly where navigation on Lake Thun started in 1835: at the Casino Landing Stage in Thun’s Aare Basin.

«Stadt Bern»What you always wanted to know about navigation on Lake Thun, the Stadt Bern, Gartentor and his art, and ship mice, and never dared to ask. The venerable Stadt Bern is given a new lease of life and becomes a meeting point for the curious and inquisitive – a playground for young and old. |
