James Cook and the Exploration of the Pacific
The British seafarer James Cook (1728–1779) ranks among the great explorers in history. With over 400 exhibits and state-of-the-art display technology, the exhibition
recounts the journeys and encounters of the explorer as he circumnavigated the earth. Masks, idols and carvings as well as original charts, model ships and paintings bring to life his expeditions to the unknown expanses of the Pacific Ocean.
