Lötschental High-Altitude Trail
The legendary high-altitude trail in the Lötschental
The walk to the Fafleralp offers you a varied experience of nature with entertaining insights into the legendary world of the region. Begin your trip in Wiler, from where the aerial cableway brings you up to the Lauchernalp. The walk on the Fafleralp at an altitude of between 1800 and 2200 metres, leads you past calm mountain lakes, blooming Alpine meadows and traditional mountain forests. You can enjoy a glorious view of the UNESCO World Heritage Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch and the Bietschhorn, the king of Lötschental. Along the high-altitude trail you will find information on 10 Lötschental legends with an exciting legend quiz.

Journey
By the Lötschberger train to Goppenstein, then by bus to Wiler (Lötschen), Seilbahn; return journey from the bus terminal at Fafleralp (or in reverse direction).
