Stockhorn cableway

Stockhorn – mountains and lakes

With a view of the mountains and lakes of the Bernese Oberland

On the walking and panoramic Stockhorn mountain, you can expect an impressive view of the 200 Jura and Alpine summits. From Erlenbach in Simmental, the aerial cableway takes you up the 2190 metre high Stockhorn. From the mountain station, you take a tunnel to the famous Stockhorn Eyes. Through these two windows in the rocks, you can take in the glorious view into the distance. Enjoy culinary indulgence in the panorama restaurant. Use the numerous well marked out hiking trails, or relax with some fishing on the idyllic mountain lakes of Oberstockensee and Hinterstockensee.

Operating hours for the Erlenbach i.S.–Chrindi–Stockhorn aerial cableway:
first mountain trip: at 7.50 hours; final valley trip: at 17.35 hours
daily every 30 minutes;

Journey

Rail journey to Erlenbach im Simmental. From Erlenbach i.S. station on foot (15 minutes) to the valley station of the Stockhorn aerial cableway (follow the signs)
