St. Beatus Caves on Lake Thun
Unique natural experience for all the family
Discover impressive stalactites and stalagmites in the St. Beatus Caves on Lake Thun. Start your visit to the St. Beatus Caves with a boat trip on Lake Thun, taking in the wonderful panorama of the Bernese Oberland. From the boat landing stage, follow a walking trail through the woods up to the entrance. A circular walk through the St. Beatus Caves takes you past underground waterfalls and huge formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Allow time to explore the Cave Museum, which traces the development of cave research in Switzerland.
