Lake Murten Region
Fun for young and old
The small 800-year-old Zähringen town of Murten is unique, not just for the walkable ring wall with its defensive towers and the pretty arcades, but also for the city tour train line on which you can discover Murten and gain fascinating insights into its history. There’s still time afterwards for a leisurely trip around the lake with a stop along the way in the Mount Vully wine-growing area. Kids will love the sandstone caves in Môtier - a perfect playground.
