“Experience” the fascination of the engine driver’s profession! You get into the driver’s cabin in Berne and look over the engine driver’s shoulder: at up to 160 kilometres per hour, he safely drives the train up the Aare Valley to Spiez and has the Lötschberger climb the 100-year-old Lötschberg mountain route with ease. You can enjoy the ride across breathtaking bridges and through tunnels – witnesses to the high art of engineering in the last century – from the engine driver’s perspective. You will be accompanied by a specialist who can tell you a great deal about that route and, in particular, about the engine driver’s work. He will be pleased to answer your questions about work in the driver’s cabin! You can look forward to an interesting and eventful day in the world of railways!
