Solothurn–Moutier / Moutier–Lengnau (Grenchenberg)

Solothurn-Moutier / Moutier-Lengnau

Historical review:

Until 1997, the line between Solothurn and Moutier was owned by the Solothurn–Münster-Railway(SMB),which had inaugurated the single-track lane in 1908.

The line between Moutier and Lengnau was owned by the Münster-Lengnau Railway (MLB), a subsidiary of the BLS Lötschbergbahn.

In 1997, the SMB merged with the Associated Huttwil Railways (VHB) and the Emmental-Burgdorf-Thun Railway(EBT) to form Regionalverkehr Mittelland (RM). The RM, in turn, merged with BLS Lötschbergbahn (BLS) to become BLS AG with legal effect of 27 June 2006.
