Noise protection measures on the Thun route

This project implements the precepts of the Federal Act on Railways Noise Abatement of 24 March 2000. As a consequence of the inauguration of the Lötschberg base tunnel in 2007, the execution of noise protection measures on the Thun–Brig line are being given first priority.

Project objectives:

To implement noise protection measures on the route between Thun and Brig

Construction of noise protection walls on the following sections:

Lerchenfeld–Thun Noise protection walls have been erected,
Thun–Gwatt Noise protection walls have been erected
Gwatt-Spiez Noise protection walls have been erected
Reichenbach Noise protection walls have been erected
Kandersteg Noise protection walls have been erected
Ausserberg Planning permission pending
