Spiez Operation Centre (extension, 2nd stage)
The extension of the Spiez Operation Centre (BZS) is a strategic objective of BLS Infrastructure for the purpose of automating and centralising operational management. This is the outcome of a basic agreement with the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and LBS of 15 May 2001.
During the first stage, all the necessary measures required for the operational management of the entire Lötschberg-Simplon axis to be effected centrally from Spiez were implemented by the end of 2006.
During the second extension stage, all the work will be done that is necessary for the further development of the BZS. The development of control technology software (PC-Iltis, Iltis-Netz) provides the basis for the integration of further existing remote control centres into the BZS.
Project objectives:
| The main objective of the project is an increase in train path capacity on BLS's operational management perimeter with quality remaining at the same high level. |
The project involves...
| Replacement of the existing SYFA timetable planning system by NeTS | |
| Replacement of the SURF disposition system by RCS | |
| Radio track status indicators in Spiez and Frutigen | |
| Iltis-Netz, 1st stage (technical solution for further integration, reduction of cluster risks) | |
| Networking of train control systems | |
| Possible necessary adaptations to the required infrastructure |
