Safety measures for level crossings on the entire network of BLS AG
By order of the Swiss Confederation, all level crossings have to be checked and, if necessary, adapted in accordance with the new provisions of the Railway Ordinance by 2014.
In this context, the necessary measures must be examined for every individual level crossing. Such measures range from removal without replacement to the erection of barriers and traffic-light systems and the construction of new underpasses or flyovers.
