Preventive maintenance, repairs and revisions
About 220 workshop staff ensure that the rolling stock in maintained for daily operation. A further 150 specialists are responsible for major repairs and revisions. With retrofitting work in connection with rolling stock renovation and modernisation programmes, they also ensure that the rolling stock is technologically state of the art and that passengers are able to profit from comfort, quality and safety.
In addition, more than 70 employees are engaged in the cleaning of rolling stock.
Thanks to modern facilities and many years of know-how, we are able to guarantee diligence and adherence to deadlines.

Ever since February 2009, the BLS Operating has been under full steam: a large part of BLS’s fleet is undergoing extensive renovation in order to enable passengers to travel in more comfort and safety in the future.
