Along the River Emme to Burgdorf
From Solothurn, there is a direct hourly connection to Burgdorf and Thun. After half an hour's journey through the Midlands along the River Emme, you will reach the gateway to the Emmental: Burgdorf. You will be amazed how much this town and its environment can offer you. The highlights are Burgdorf Castle and the Franz Gertsch Museum, as well as the intact historic old town with its magnificent buildings. Stop here for the first time and discover Burgdorf.
The train will then take you to Hasle-Rüegsau, where we leave the valley of the River Emme and travel along the Biglebach river through Chrächen in the direction of Grosshöchstetten. A short distance before that, we will reach the "top of the pass" at 770 metres above sea level, from where, in a wide left turn, the train swings down into the Chise Valley and towards Konolfingen .Excursion tips:
